About ICIT Conference
IClT’22 identifies key IT areas and research interests among researchers and IT practitioners from Pakistan and all over the world. It will provide a platform for sharing knowledge and expertise among the participants. It will also promote research collaborations in crucial IT areas, facilitate interactions for joint proposal writing, and assist in exploring avenues for exchanging ideas between academic and research institutions of international repute. IClT’22 Will help in understanding and identifying the technological requirements and problems of Pakistan after the implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. Moreover, it will propose solutions for some of the identified problems.
Accepted papers that comply with IEEE requirements/regulations will be published in IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
Following are the key objectives of ICIT 22:
- Introduce a platform for collaboration on emerging topics and key issues in field of Technology, Management and Urban Challenges.
- ICIT enables academicians and practitioners to come together and develop solutions.
- Promotion of research collaborations in crucial IT areas, facilitates interactions for joint proposal writing and formulating funding strategies, and assists in identifying potential sources of funding from public and private sectors in both the countries (Pakistan- China).
- Identifying key areas of participation in Technology Transfer and need of Textile and local technology landscape.

Focus Areas of the ICIT Conference
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence is the field of computer sciences that deals with the formation of intelligent agents. Agents are autonomous entities that can perform definite tasks and learn over time from their environment. AI is everywhere now.
Software Engineering
The use of computers is increasing exponentially around the world. People from all walks of life are now using computers in their offices and homes. Many software applications are developed for general/specific purposes used in computing.
Business Intelligence
Large enterprises use computer applications/databases to store their day-to-day transactions data. With time the size and magnitude of data increase exponentially, and it becomes difficult to analyze this data using simple/static reporting tools.
Embedded Systems/ IOT
Embedded systems are known as computer systems designed to perform a specific task in a real-time environment. And the Internet of things is a new technology that makes the devices interact with others and produce an intelligent decision with precision.
Information Security/ Blockchain
Recent advances in software and web technologies have changed the way we communicate, do business, and govern. Today we rely heavily on computers to provide critical services like electricity, water, etc.
Distributed and Grid Computing
Grid computing has recently enjoyed an increase in popularity as a distributed computing architecture that is becoming highly suitable for corporate computing in many areas to address critical business requirements. As time goes on, the application of technology in additional areas will increase.
Computer Graphics, Image Processing, and Pattern Recognition
One of the most rapidly growing areas of computer science is image processing. It has applications in many areas such as the medical industry.
Communications and Networking
The Internet encompasses a large number of distributed networking and computing systems that are interconnected in the form of a grid. The vast number of resources available enables sharing, selection, and aggregation of computation managed by multiple administrative domains.
Internet Applications
With the advancement in computing, everyone can now use the internet. Many new applications have exploded that offer exciting new services through the internet such as online games, shopping, cloud computing, and many more.
Smart Grids
The smart grid is a revolutionary technology entailing new communications and control systems, energy sources, generation models, and adherence to cross-jurisdictional regulatory structures.
E-Learning
E-learning is the term used for delivering education by using electronic media over the network or the internet. The media can be in the form of lectures or videos delivered online or offline.
Emerging Agricultural Technologies
The economy of Pakistan is heavily dependent on the agriculture sector. Therefore, it is required to introduce Information technology (IT) that can benefit this sector.
Textile Technology
One of the biggest industries that Pakistan relies on is the textile industry. Textile materials are composed of fibers, yarns, and fabrics. Textiles can be found in many materials, ranging from the clothes in your closet to the air filters in your vacuum cleaner.
Computational Science
Computational science is the field that uses computers and mathematical modeling to solve scientific problems. It is a relatively new but exciting field as it provides an alternative way of solving scientific problems rather than the traditional methods of theory and experiments.
Multimedia Technologies
Multimedia is another exciting area that has revolutionized the way we interact with computers and computing devices. Multimedia refers to the variety of content forms including but not limited to text, audio, video, images, etc.
Ubiquitous / Pervasive Computing
It has become one of the most exciting disciplines of computer science. We use devices without even thinking about them which is the basis of ubiquitous/pervasive computing.
Green Computing
Green computing refers to the set of algorithms, protocols, hardware, and software designed to use computing resources in an environment-friendly manner. It is a new and exciting field, that has gained much interest from the scientific community in the last few years.
