Abstract
Industrial progress of any country is directly linked to the continuous supply of energy at reasonable prices. This thinking motivated the research and development sectors to explore the possibilities of the adoption of renewable energy. However, the integration of renewable energy with the conventional system is challenging. Further, an uninterruptible power supply is the ultimate requirement of many manufacturing processes. Therefore, there is a need to develop an auto transfer switch for a hybrid power system that should ensure the eradication of power quality issues and removal of chances of a system interruption. In this research, the auto transfer switch is developed and analyzed under integrated power sources. Simulations are created in Matlab/ Simulink. A hardware prototype of the auto transfer switch is developed to demonstrate the practicality of the proposed idea.
