Pakistan’s Mango supply chain system consists of multiple intermediaries before the fruit reaches the consumer. It results in degradation of quality before the fruit reaches to consumer and the financial share of growers is subsequently reduced. There is an information gap between growers and consumers, which strengthens the need for middlemen. Technology can play a vital role in solving this problem by connecting farmers and markets. A framework for intelligent Supply chain decision support to plan the harvest and supply of mango fruit according to consumer demand is proposed. It will be performed by creating Farm Mapping, and Variety Calendar and analysis will be performed to map offerings with demand. Demand for specific mango varieties can be tracked and farmers can be informed about the varieties in demand. It will bridge the communication gap between farmers and markets and result in traceability of the mango supply chain from the farm to the market.
