4x4 Butler Matrix for Wireless Communication and Beamforming Antenna Applications

Abstract
This manuscript proposed the planer 4×4 Butler matrix, which consists of microwave devices like a 3dB coupler, phase shifter, and cross-over coupler working at an ISM band frequency 2.4 GHz using substrate roger 4350b having the following characteristics including thickness 0.762 mm, εr = 3.66 and tanδ=0.0005. The reason is to use it for a different wireless applications like Bluetooth, WLAN, etc. And to exploit this matrix as a beam forming network generating orthogonal beams oriented toward a different direction.
